Our commitment to the future
A return to untamed nature
Located in the South African bushveld, Sandringham Private Game Reserve is fed by the waters of 4 converging rivers and watched over by the mighty Drakensberg mountains in the distance. After decades as a farm and hunting ground, we are rehabilitating this land into a protected area – just as it was always intended to be.
A past rich in character
The story of Sandringham is centred around a parcel of land that was named after a distant monarch’s country retreat, and has played host to decades of politicians, scoundrels, media magnates, hunters and ordinary people. Sandringham serves as a chronical of life and death, extinction and rebirth, oppression and now finally, freedom. Under new curatorship, Sandringham is being gently rehabilitated to restore its fragile ecosystem with the aim of preserving Africa’s wildlife.
A paradise in the making
A vision of conservation and connection.
The Sabi Sabi Collection is committed to restoring Sandringham to her former glory, creating a haven for wildlife and a sanctuary in which guests can reconnect with nature in a truly authentic African setting.
A new chapter
We are changing Sandringham’s story from one of conflict to one of harmonious balance.
Nature as it should be
We will continue to rehabilitate the reserve and slowly build mutual trust with the animals as they adapt to our non-threatening presence.
Unrivalled splendor
Our vision is to create a space in which nature thrives and guests can enjoy a signature Sabi Sabi experience.
The Sandringham Reserve
Spanning 5000 hectares in the greater Kruger area.
Sandringham Private Game Reserve is home to varied terrains and habitats. Under our curatorship, we are gently restoring it to its former pristine glory through a series of carefully considered approaches.
Transformation through conservation
A love for our land
Transformation is a slow and steady process fueled by compassion, strategic thinking and a deep love for the African bushveld and her many natural marvels.
Protecting against harm
Regaining trust
Given Sandringham’s hunting past, we are mindfully and gently regaining the animals’ trust and further protecting them from harm via our anti-poaching efforts.
Habitat management
Glorious celebration of nature and space
Through ongoing habitat management, including controlled burning and alien plant control, we safeguard the ecosystems that our animals call home.

Sabi Sabi's ethical approach to safaris and conservation has always been part of our vision.
